Shepherds are very interesting characters. I wonder if you really know what it took to be a good shepherd. If you were to go out in hills in Egypt or Israel you would see shepherds leading their sheep home each night. The sheep knew the shepherds voice and would follow him anywhere.
Visual 2
He puts them in a big pen and knows all of his sheep by name. The pen has no gate. He is the gate. He puts himself in front of the opening each night to protect the sheep.
Visual 3
If anything were to come to the front gate they would have to kill him to get to the sheep. He would be willing to die to protect his sheep.
